Project Wishlist 2025 Update
The first time I published my project wishlist in 2023, I shared it publicly with pride. While much of it hadn’t yet materialized, it marked the beginning of something important. In 2024, I expanded on that vision, clarifying my creative desires and aiming higher. This year, I chose not to publish a wishlist at all.
And that choice was intentional.
What I’ve come to understand is that many of the things I once hoped for are no longer distant ideas. These goals are ambitious, but every ambitious outcome begins somewhere.
Oftentimes, it starts with consistency, commitment, and the willingness to build before being seen. There is nothing wrong with starting small and graduating into bigger things. That progression is the work.
Here are the 2023 and 2024 project wishlist items that didn’t just remain ideas, but began taking form and continue to unfold.
Projects in Motion
Collaborate with a makeup artist to create and photograph an editorial makeup lookbook. - I began working with a makeup artist, photographing her work. While this has not yet become a full lookbook, we’ve collaborated twice and plan to continue working together.
Collaborate with a hairstylist to create and photograph an editorial beauty lookbook.*
Direct a music video.*
Design a music single and/or album cover.*
Photograph an editorial magazine cover. - I photographed a nonprofit magazine in 2023, which marked an important first step toward this goal.
Stage design a fashion show and/or concert. - I helped design the runway for a fashion show presented during an art exhibition I curated this year.
Photograph a fashion show at New York Fashion Week.*
Photograph a fashion show at Miami Swim Week.*
Photograph concerts and events at SXSW. - I visited Austin during SXSW this year and created a vlog documenting the experience. While I did not photograph SXSW specifically, I photographed numerous concerts and events throughout the year.
Photograph a national advertising campaign for a brand I like. - This summer, I photographed a global advertising campaign for a nonprofit organization. As of December 24, 2025, the images have not yet been released publicly.
Model for an athletic brand.*
Create custom artwork (commissions). - I was recently commissioned for a painting!
Publish a photo book of the different eras of my photography journey. - This project continues to take shape. While I believe a full publication will come in the next ten years, I’ve already created a one-of-one photo book featuring several eras of my work.
Curate a hotel or Bed & Breakfast with my artwork. - I interior designed an Airbnb in 2024. While the project did not fully come to fruition due to a shift in client priorities, the experience reinforced my desire to pursue this vision.
License the Imani’s Cyber Fantasy collection to a respected distributor to create merchandise.*
